(? - ) US screenwriter, a long-time friend of James Cameron, who contributed additional dialogue to Cameron's The Terminator (1984) and co-wrote the novelization The Terminator (1985) as Bill Wisher with Randall Frakes. He also co-scripted the sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), likewise directed by Cameron, and made cameo appearances in both these films. The script of the second was published as Terminator 2: Judgement Day: The Book of the Film: An Illustrated Screenplay (1991) with James Cameron.
Wisher subsequently shared movie script credits for Judge Dredd (1995) directed by Danny Cannon; The 13th Warrior (1999) directed by John McTiernan and (uncredited) Michael Crichton, author of the source novel Eaters of the Dead (1976; vt The 13th Warrior 1999); and a late addition to the Exorcist supernatural-Horror franchise, Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist (2005) directed by Paul Schrader.
