(1980- ) UK author whose first series of sf interest, the Children of the Fifth Sun sequence beginning with Children of the Fifth Sun (2014), which is couched as the unmasking of a planetary conspiracy, suggests that the Uplift required to save Homo sapiens after a great flood has been generated by close species relatives. His second sequence, the It Takes Death to Reach a Star beginning with It Takes Death to Reach a Star (2018) with Stu Jones writing together as Jones Worthington, is set in the inherently melodrama-prone solitary City which contains the last of humanity after a great Pandemic. Of his singletons, the Near-Future Omniviolence (2025), again with Stu Jones writing together as Jones Worthington, focuses on the plight of a Computer hacker whose thefts with violence have been exposed, forcing him to flee through a tangled Dystopian world.
