(1992- ) US author whose first novel, the Near-Future Hammajang Luck (2024), is mostly set on a vast Space Station known as Kepler (see Johannes Kepler), and may be deemed the beginning of a Kepler Station sequence. It serves as the headquarters of trillionaire Joyce Atlas's malevolent multi-world corporation, whose surveillance-based control over and profit-taking from Communications systems and AI projects give the cast (as they feel) ample justification for pulling off a heist whose booty will be Atlas's commercial secrets. The plot is deliberately traditional; the target is contemporary. In The Obake Code (2026), a character featured in the first novel is trapped into using her hacking skills in a crime syndicate's campaign to gain control over a reforming politician. A heist is soon engaged upon. [JC]
