(1945-2007) US author who began to publish work of genre interest with The Seren Cenacles (1983) in collaboration with Warren C Norwood, an enjoyably action-packed though perhaps overly melodramatic tale of upheavals at a "protein mining" colony (see Colonization of Other Worlds) where "psychominers" do their work by Telekinesis. Complications include a mysterious death, ruthless corporate bosses who think it better to destroy the mine than risk bad publicity, space battles, planetary destruction and Immortal Alien symbiotes (see Parasitism and Symbiosis). Mylius's only other genre work seems to be a story contributed to R-A-M: Random Access Messages of the Computer Age (anth 1984) edited by Thomas F Monteleone. [DRL]
