Letter-size saddle-stapled Television magazine printed on a mix of newsprint and middle-grade paper. HSJ Publications. Editor: Robert Strauss. Possibly sixteen issues on a quarterly schedule, 1984 to 1989.
One of the very few publications devoted to Fantasy and science fiction television programmes, this title is now largely forgotten but served an important purpose in the years before the Internet. Television episode guides were then almost impossible to find except as occasional features in such magazines as Fantastic Films or Starlog. SFTV ran articles and episode guides relating to such series as Batman (1966-1968), The Green Hornet (1966-1967), The Time Tunnel (1966-1967), Space: 1999 (1975-1977) and Otherworld (1985). Some other material appeared, including interviews with television scriptwriter D C Fontana and performer Martin Landau. A column by John L Flynn on the history of sf film posters appeared for a time. [GFi/DRL]
