(1970- ) Norwegian author who is of sf interest for his Cinnabar sequence beginning with Cinnabar One (2023; trans M Amelia Eikli as Cinnabar One: A Hybrid Leaves Earth 2025), comprising two complicatedly dovetailing narratives. On the planet Aldanrey, a Pastoral culture is threatened by changes in the local moons' orbit; on Near-Future Mars, an entrepreneurial firm discovers an ancient Alien Starship which leads (see Sense of Wonder; Time Abyss) into the deep past and towards a rescue of the folk of Aldanrey. The expansive Space Opera logistics of the first volume are continued in the second. [JC]
