(? - ) US author, producer and director, a regular contributor to such Media Magazines as Assignment X and Fangoria, who has published a few stories of genre interest beginning with "Ragnall Redux" in the erotic-Horror-themed Strange Bedfellows (anth 2004) edited by Michael Garrett and Jeff Gelb. She is best known for nonfiction studies of media productions such as Fantastic Four: The Making of the Movie (graph 2005) (see Fantastic Four) and the Firefly (2002) Tie Firefly: The Official Companion, Volume One (2006) with Bryan Cairns, Karl Derrick and Tara Di Lullo; and notably including The Art of Mad Max: Fury Road (graph 2015), a bestselling tie to Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Ghost in the Shell (2017) with James Swallow is a novelization of the Anime film Ghost in the Shell (2017), Swallow being the principal author while Bernstein was responsible for rewrite work. Further nonfiction ties include The Art and Making of The Flash (graph 2016) (see The Flash), The DNA of Orphan Black (graph 2017), Alita: Battle Angel – The Art and Making of the Movie (graph 2019) (see Battle Angel) and Justice League: The Art of the Film (graph 2019).
