Entry updated 30 March 2026. Tagged: Author.

(1928-    ) US psychiatrist, behaviour therapist, academic and author whose contribution to the canon of Sequels by Other Hands to Jonathan Swift's Gulliver's Travels (1726; rev 1735) was A Voyage to Inishneefa: The First-Hand Account of the Fifth Voyage of Lemuel Gulliver / First a Surgeon, and Then a Captain of Several Ships (1987). This voyage takes Lemuel Gulliver back to Swift's own birth country of Ireland, to reflect in suitably Swiftian tones upon its troubled history. [DRL]
