(? - ) US author whose loose Young Adult Sound of Stars sequence beginning with The Sound of Stars (2020) is set in a Near Future world devastated by an accidental War between Homo sapiens and the Alien Ilori, whose Post-Holocaust Invasion of Earth has resulted in a coercive peace. The Ilori do not understand the Evolution-sanctioned emotionality of humans, and their rule is therefore insensitive. The two protagonists, a highly strung girl and a Genetically Engineered person named MoRriS must look for a solution. The Kindred (2022), set in an interstellar Space Opera arena and featuring Telepathic unions, connects to the earlier volume through the flight of a young linked pair to remote Earth. [JC]
