Hagberg, David
Entry updated 12 September 2022. Tagged: Author.
(1942-2019) US author who has published prolifically under his own name and various pseudonyms, including David Bannerman, Sean Flannery, David James, Robert Pell and Eric Ramsey, usually thrillers that sometimes venture into Technothriller country, though not into the fantastic as such. He began publishing novels of genre interest with The Capsule (1976), in which a secret Weapon evolved out of the rubble of World War Two must be found and its possessors thwarted or the world will end (see Pariah Elite), and Croc' (1976) as by David James, which is Horror. The Flash Gordon sequence, beginning with Flash Gordon Book 1: Massacre in the 22nd Century (1980), anonymous, is competently escapist. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) is a Tie to the movie. [JC]
