(1972-    ) US author who began to publish work of genre interest with "My Soul to Free" in Expanded Horizons for November 2009; most of her work has been fantasy [not listed below]. The Scorched Earth sequence beginning with The Canopy Keepers (2024) Equipoisally dramatizes the consequences of Climate Change through various viewpoints, including a heartwood-dense, secret-retaining consciousness at the Underground heart of a deep forest (see Gaia). The protagonist of The People's Library (2026) in Henry's second novel, which is sf, struggles to decide what to save of the data buried in the titular archive, which may contain secrets (see Libraries) vital to the survival of a human race beleaguered by Climate Change. Digital Avatars of famous predecessor humans invigorate the tale. [JC]
