(? -2023) US engineer and author who began to publish work of genre interest with "Dog Thinks Ahead" in Shimmer #3 for Spring 2006; his first novel, the Young Adult Walking Shadow (2012), is set in a noirish Near Future Chicago, a world where Memory Edits can be purchased on the instalment plan and users must pay in full (even if they do not recall their original commitment or what memories they wished to excise). The protagonist, attempting to recover his lost past, finds himself in mean streets; but survives. Velocity Blues (2021) follows a teenage protagonist belonging to a kind of Pariah Elite created by Genetic Engineering, whose enhanced Intelligence is accompanied by speeded-up metabolism (verging on a Superpower) and perpetual restlessness.
