Kelleghan, Fiona

(1965- ) US academic whose birth name was Ellen Feehan. She worked as a tenured professor and librarian at the University of Miami until her retirement in 2011, and was in a long-term relationship with sf author Tim Sullivan which ended in 2018. She published one genre story – "The Secret in the Chest" in Realms of Fantasy for October 1998 – and edited the sf reprint Anthology The Savage Humanists (anth 2008), but is better known for her critical nonfiction, which includes a lengthy introduction to The Savage Humanists and has appeared in such venues as Extrapolation, Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts, The New York Review of Science Fiction, Nova Express and Science Fiction Studies. She was a book review editor for the Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts and an editorial consultant for Science Fiction Studies and The Greenwood Encyclopedia of Science Fiction and Fantasy: Themes, Works, and Wonders (2005 3vols) edited by Gary Westfahl.
On her own, Kelleghan wrote Mike Resnick: An Annotated Bibliography and Guide to His Work (2000; rev 2012) and edited the critical anthologies 100 Masters of Mystery and Detective Fiction (anth 2001 2vols) and Classics of Science Fiction Literature (anth 2002 2vols).
