(1941-2011) US historian, publisher's editor and author of nearly a hundred books for young children, whose Space Cats (1979 chap) is Children's SF; its young protagonist Perry encounters and befriends a strange Cat who proves to be an Alien and invites him on a journey to the cat homeworld, where feline factions are at War. The eponym of Otto (1983 chap) is a Robot who accompanies a small human friend to school and gets into trouble. [DRL]
