(? - ) UK software engineer, theatrical director and author, currently in the USA; he is of sf interest for the Roboteer sequence beginning with Roboteer (2015), a Space Opera set in an interstellar arena, into which Homo sapiens has expanded without necessarily learning the lessons of the partial ruination of Earth. The tale focuses on a War between a Terran theocracy which bans Genetic Engineering and the old colonies, now home to a very wide range of variations both culturally and biologically. The second volume in the series, Nemesis (2016), shares its overall venue and concerns – in this case, an Alien civilization threatens the expansionist Homo sapiens domain – but features a different cast. In Exodus (2017) the threat of the AI-governed Hive-Mind Photurians intensifies. There is considerable action. [JC]
