(?   -    ) US author whose first novel of sf interest was Faultline 49 (2012) as by David Danson, a Near-Future political thriller set in an Alternate History some time after a successful American Invasion of Canada has been instigated by the destruction of the World Trade Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The protagonist of the tale, whose name is Danson, travels through the devastation of occupied Canada – analogies with the destruction of Iraq are clearly intended – in search of a guerrilla leader. The Cypulchre sequence beginning with Cypulchre (2013) depicts a Near Future Dystopian surveillance society in terms evocative of Cyberpunk. The protagonist of The Savage Kingdom (2014) suffers a Timeslip into ancient Africa, where adventures ensue. Both The Gunpowder Plot (2019) and Lethe (2020) attribute the sudden Near-Future decline of Western civilization to socialists and the brainwasher Chinese; a Military SF resistance soon forms against the triumph of woke.
