MacLeod, Alison

(circa 1965- ) Canadian author, in the UK since 1987, most of whose work has been nonfantastic, though some of the stories assembled in Fifteen Modern Tales of Attraction (coll 2007) and All the Beloved Ghosts (coll 2017) are fantasy. Her second novel, The Wave Theory of Angels (2005), does however make use of some tools in the SF Megatext to depict a kind of Time Travel – or at the very least an intimate intersection of two separate times in one story – where events and characters in a thirteenth century France are interwoven through quantum entanglement with profoundly similar events at in a twenty-first century Physics lab in Chicago.
MacLeod should not be confused with the author Alison MacLeod (1920- ). [JC]
