(? - ) US lawyer, painter, illustrator, poet and author, active in his first profession from 2001 with a focus on representing victims of toxic exposure, in particular asbestos poisoning. His work as an author dates from 2015 or earlier; he began to publish work of genre interest with "The Eighth Fathom" in Metaphorosis for March 2020. His first novel, The Phlebotomist (2020), is set in a Near Future world attempting to recover from a nuclear war (see World War Three); but an essential procedure, blood transfusions for those affected by radiation, generates a Dystopian class system, with a litany of injustices of the sort usually uncovered in tales of this disposition. His second novel, Stringers (2022), is a Space Opera whose protagonist, an idiot savant, discovers that what he does not know the meaning of leads to abduction on the part of Aliens. [JC]
