(1960- ) Norwegian author, translator and editor. An active sf/fantasy fan since the 1970s, he attended sf Conventions, contributed to Fanzines, and in 1982 launched his fanzine Capricorn (relaunched 2025). In 1987 he made his first professional sale with the short sf story "Sangen om en gutt, en drøm og en rotte" ["The Song of a Boy, a Dream and a Rat"] in A-Magasinet, a weekly supplement to the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten. With the Norwegian fan Johannes H Berg Jr (1956-2004) he edited and translated the sf anthology Kaleidoskop ["Kaleidoscope"] (anth 1991), and translated H P Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness (cut February 1936 Astounding; restored in The Outsider and Others coll 1939; 1990 chap) as Vanviddets fjell (1995). With Norwegian author Bjarne Benjaminsen he launched the Online Magazine Nye Nova ["New Nova"] in November 2022 [see under links below], but left the editorial staff in 2024 to become a full-time writer.
"Sangen om en gutt ..." was expanded as the novella "De magiske krystallene" ["The Magic Crystals"], a tribute to Theodore Sturgeon included in Pellegrini's collection High-Fidelphias hviskende skygger ["The Whispering Shadows of High-Fidelphia"] (coll 2026). So far he has written some 50 short stories, genre articles and book reviews.
Pellegrini has also published a nonfiction book on Norwegian genre history, Himmelstormerne: Norsk fantastisk litteratur fra Niels Klim til Odinsbarn ["Conquerors of the Sky: Norwegian Fantastic Literature From Niels Klim to Odinsbarn"] (2026). Describing the emergence of genre literature in Norway from its origin in 1741, the book contains a bibliographical listing of about 300 authors as well as hundreds of translated books, SF Magazines, Fanzines and so on.
