Sabe, Quien
Entry updated 12 September 2022. Tagged: Author.
["Who knows?" in Spanish.] Pseudonym, as Quién Sabe, of Jackson Gregory for his Lost Race story Daughter of the Sun (1921). The same name was independently used without a diacritical – apparently by Harry Bates – for "The City of Eric" (Spring 1929 Amazing Stories Quarterly), another Lost Race tale set in South America, and with an appended question mark for the Bates essay "So Help Me" (February 1956 Science Fiction Quarterly), where a cash prize was offered for identifying "Quien Sabe?".
