(? - ) Indian-born lawyer, poet and author, in Canada from childhood, active from 2010 or before; she began to publish work of genre interest with "Antony's Arboretum" in Those Who Make Us: Canadian Creature, Myth, and Monster Stories (anth 2016) edited by Kelsi Morris and Kaitlin Tremblay. The ongoing THOT J BAP sequence, beginning with Bramah and the Beggar Boy: 1 (Thot J Bap [the Heart of This Journey Bears All Patterns]) (coll of linked poems 2021), unpacks a nest of narratives found in an abandoned house; some are ancient, some Computer disks; some tell the history of the world to now, some unpack (as though it had already happened) a fraught Future History in which the antic dance of Homo sapiens across its home planet has generated various Disasters, including but not restricted to Climate Change.
The nonfiction Listening to the Bees (2018) with Mark L Winston provides Ecology-based arguments that support the flow into darkness of the THOT J BAP sequence, while offering tentative work-throughs for the species. [JC]
