Salvatore, R A
Entry updated 12 September 2022. Tagged: Author.
(1959- ) US author, almost exclusively of Fantasy, and a specialist in the Forgotten Realms fantasy universe, for which he has written many Ties (his pure fantasy is not listed below). The Chronicles of Ynis Aielle sequence, opening with Echoes of the Fourth Magic (1990) is essentially fantasy but set on a future Post-Holocaust Earth where Magic reigns and which the present-day protagonist reaches via Timeslip while on a submarine passing through the Bermuda Triangle. Of most sf interest in his large output are a contribution to the Tarzan universe, Tarzan: The Epic Adventures (1996); and two Ties to the Star Wars universe, Star Wars: The New Jedi Order: Vector Prime (1999) and Star Wars: Clone Wars: Attack of the Clones (2002).
