(1957- ) US author who began publishing sf with "The Growth of Harold J Upton" for Space and Time in October 1980. His first novel, Corpseman (1988), is an unremarkable tale of a Cyborg who must cope with false imprisonment. More interestingly, Random Factor (1991) applies familiar sf-thriller elements to a crisis on an interstellar station (see Space Habitats) where various species are in conflict, and the ambitions of an enigmatic Alien race must be grapple with, for good or ill.
