(?   -    ) US author who began to publish work of genre interest with the Post-Holocaust sf story Hope (in Apocalypse Chronicles, anth 2016, ed Rosie Gailor and Marek Lewandowski; 2016 ebook). At about the same time she began to release the popular urban fantasy sequence The Lily Singer Adventures, opening with Love, Lies, and Hocus Pocus: Beginnings (2016) [see Checklist below], of which a spinoff in progress is the Dark Roads Trilogy whose first volume is Accidental Witch (2017). [For Urban Fantasy see The Encyclopedia of Fantasy under links below.]

Sherrer is of greatest direct sf interest for the Young Adult TransDimensional Hunter series written in collaboration with John Ringo and opening with Into the Real (2022). The troubled female protagonist is a teenage player of the titular online team game, whose formidable Monsters are extrapolated from the cute creatures of Pokémon Go and increasingly seem to threaten not only the Online World but the real physical world of the 2040s. The sequence has frequently been compared with Ender's Game (August 1977 Analog; much exp 1985) by Orson Scott Card.

Sherrer has also contributed short sf tales to the Black Tide Rising Zombie-apocalypse anthologies edited by Gary Poole and John Ringo. [DRL]
