(1960- ) Author and editor who began to publish work of genre interest with the near-simultaneous "Becoming Mother" in Voices from the Night: 27 Stories of Horror and Suspense (anth 1994) edited by John Maclay and "And Baby Makes Three" in The Dragons of Krynn (anth 1994) edited by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. She co-edited the final three volumes of the Bantam Books showcase Original Anthology Full Spectrum, beginning with Full Spectrum #2 (anth 1989) with Lou Aronica, Pat LoBrutto and Shawna McCarthy. She shared a Locus Award for best anthology for Full Spectrum #3 (anth 1991) with Lou Aronica and Betsy Mitchell, and a World Fantasy Award for Full Spectrum #4 (anth 1993) with the same editors.
Her One Land Saga trilogy is a secondary-world fantasy with some espionage elements. [DRL]
