(? - ) US lawyer and author whose first novel, A People's History of the Vampire Uprising (2018), ingeniously traces the consequences of a Near Future infection, the Nogales Organic Blood Illness, which transforms humans into Vampires known as Gloamings. They are smarter and more attractive than normal humans; the intricate transactions from group to group, and the power politics effortlessly incorporated into the multiple viewpoints of the narrative, generate an acerbic Satirical portrait of the new America as it succumbs to the governance of a new, highly aspirational elite.
