(? - ) US lawyer and author whose first novel, A People's History of the Vampire Uprising (2018), ingeniously traces the consequences of a Near Future infection, the Nogales Organic Blood Illness or NOBI, a Pandemic whose initial effects seem deadly, transforming those humans who survive into Vampires known as Gloamings, who are smarter and more attractive than normal humans, and can anticipate life-spans of up to 300 years, tantamount in the human imagination to Immortality. The intricate transactions from group to group, and the power politics effortlessly incorporated into the multiple viewpoints of the narrative, generate an acerbic Satirical portrait of the new America as it succumbs to the governance of a new, highly aspirational elite.
