(circa 1970- ) US playwright, active from before 2000, whose first drama of sf interest, Mr Burns: A Post-Electric Play (performed 2012; 2013), begins in the Near Future after a worldwide Disaster has ended civilization. The play is constructed as a vaudeville enacted by a troop of unnamed characters, in the context of which various routines and memories – specifically the "Cape Feare" episode (7 October 1993) directed by Martin Scorsese of the Television series The Simpsons (1989-current) – are "tested" for their ability to carry into a Post-Holocaust world some viable Memes from before the demolition of things. As the years pass, the Simpsons characters become densely Iconic. [JC]
