(? - ) Canadian author whose first novel, the Young Adult Lies My Memory Told Me (2021), unpacks the full story behind an immensely popular device, which is the Invention of the protagonist's parents: users enter into chosen Virtual Realities through narratives embedded in the "Enhanced Memory" unit. But these narratives seem to take their shape, via Memory Edits (or worse) imposed on vulnerable subjects; the experiences enjoyed by users, the protagonist discovers, may be stolen. [JC]
