Entry updated 1 April 2026. Tagged: Author.

(1939-    ) US author who served in the US Army from 1958 to 1980 and worked in the officer of the Secretary of Defense 1985-2003. He has written both non-genre military fiction [not listed below] and competent Military SF/Space Opera, the latter invariably in collaboration with David Sherman. Most sf titles are in the Starfist sequence opening with Starfist: First to Fight (New York: Ballantine Books/Del Rey, 1997) with David Sherman [whom see for details of this series]. A solitary non-Starfist sf title is Jedi Trial (2004) again with David Sherman, a Tie to the Star Wars: Clone Wars subset of the Star Wars franchise. [DRL]
