(1943-2003) US author whose sf novels, including Crown of Infinity (1968) and The Age of Ruin (1968), are routine works, the first a Space Opera, the second a post-Disaster odyssey. The Peacemakers series – in which Alien invaders are fought to a negotiated truce in a Future War involving nuclear weapons and Vietnam like guerrilla conflict – comprises The Warriors of Terra (1970) and Siege of Earth (1971).
