(1931-2016) US author of works for children and for the Young Adult market, some of this work hovering in the post facto gap between these categories. The Mike Glenn series is for a relatively young audience, while some of his work addresses older readers, often utilizing Time Travel: in Once Upon Another Time (1972), an adult is cast back to the age of fifteen, where he becomes involved in World War Two; or Timequake (1982), whose protagonists, displaced by an earthquake forward through time, find themselves in a ruinously crowded Ruined Earth run on medieval principles. The protagonist of Summer of the Green Star (1981), on the other hand, finds that his new companions are themselves Aliens abroad. [JC]
