Randall, Robert
Entry updated 12 September 2022. Tagged: Author.
Pseudonym used on collaborative stories – about sixteen in all, from "No Future in This" (May 1956 Science Fiction Quarterly) to "A Little Intelligence" (October 1958 Future) – by Robert Silverberg and Randall Garrett. Silverberg was very young at the time. The most notable of these were the Nidorian series, originally published in Astounding, dealing with the effects of human contact on a closely humanoid (though furred) Alien race; they were published in book form as The Shrouded Planet (stories June-December 1956 Astounding; fixup 1957) and The Dawning Light (March-May 1957 Astounding; 1959).
