(1911-1976) US author whose work of sf interest was confined to pseudonymous contributions under House Names to various series. As Nick Carter, he wrote The Red Rays (1969) in the Nick Carter series; as Jeffrey Lord he wrote books 1 to 8 of the Richard Blade series: The Bronze Axe (1969), The Jade Warrior (1969), Jewel of Tharn (1969), Slave of Sarma (1970), Liberator of Jedd (1971), Monster of the Maze (1972), Pearl of Patmos (1973) and Undying World (1973); as Ken Stanton he wrote two Aquanauts titles: Operation Sea Monster (1974) and Operation Mermaid (1974); and as Paul Edwards he wrote five books in the John Eagle Expeditor series.
