(1964-    ) UK Comics writer and author, initially active in the Judge Dredd universe, his novels for that enterprise, which begin with Judge Dredd: Deathmasques (1993), being set primarily in the vast Dystopian City known as Brit-Cit. He has subsequently been occupied almost exclusively with the production of Ties for the Doctor Who universe, beginning with Sky Pirates! (1995) in the Doctor Who New Adventures sub-series. Perhaps as a consequence of his temporary liberation from that universe, his tie to the Dark Future sequence, Dark Future: Golgotha Run (2005), is a gonzo road-story set in a desertified Near Future America, with motorcycles.
