(? - ) US author most of whose work, generally couched for the Young Adult market, is fantasy, including the Paranormalcy sequence beginning with Paranormalcy (2010), whose young protagonist baulks at her role in the International Paranormal Containment Agency, but does continue to hunt for deities (see Gods and Demons) hiding in the interstices of the normal world [see Urban Fantasy in The Encyclopedia of Fantasy under links below]. The Mind Games sequence beginning with Mind Games (2013) is similar. The Conqueror's Trilogy beginning with And I Darken (2016) is set in an Alternate History version of the Ottoman Empire, the Jonbar Point seemingly the fact that Vlad the Impaler is female. The Chaos of Stars (2013) is fantasy about the daughter of two Egyptian gods who rebels against her relatives; Illusions of Fate (2014) is set in a fantasy Albion. [JC]
